Book Review For: Highlander Unchained & Forbidden Highlander by Donna Fletcher

Review:

Highlander Unchained & Forbidden Highlander - Donna Fletcher

‘Highlander Unchained & Forbidden Highlander’ by Donna Fletcher is the story of Cree & Dawn. There are actually two books in this set. They were originally released around 2012 separately. Highlander Unchained was book one and Forbidden Highlander was book two in the “”Highlander Trilogy”. Both books deal with Cree and Dawn’s story. Book three “Highlander’s Captive” which is a separate book deals with Cree’s sister and Dawn’s brother.
I am such a big Fan of Ms. Fletcher’s writing and these two books just confirmed my reason for making her a favorite author. I could not put these books down…I had so much to do but dropped it all to finish reading Cree and Dawn’s story. If Ms. Fletcher had a million books and I had a million dollars I would not have a million dollars for long…nor would I have any time for anything other than reading.
Cree was the strong warrior type that described himself as not having a heart. Cree had a goal in mind of taking over land and become a titled lord. Nothing in his plans were for a strong, loyal women who had such a big heart…nor a women who put others before herself. Dawn did have disability that kept her from speaking but nothing slowed her down.
Cree had tried to fight his attraction and growing feelings for Dawn but he was loosing that battle. The King had arranged a marriage for him to a nobleman’s daughter to help secure his land and title he wanted. So Cree could not make Dawn his wife and never really offered that option to her. Dawn was a hardworking women that help her friends and even a few of the people that did her wrong. Dawn understood her place with Cree and knew that he would never love her but that didn’t stop her from opening up to him…which made it hard for Cree not to love her.
This book had so many emotions for me…sometimes I hated Cree but other times I just couldn’t help but love him for a main character. He only wanted to keep Dawn safe even though she wouldn’t listen to him and kept getting herself into trouble. He such a Alpha male that he didn’t want her touch another man for any reason. Dawn was only for him!

Book Review For: ‘A Study in Scoundrels’ by Christy Carlyle

Review:

A Study in Scoundrels (Romancing the Rules) - Christy Carlyle

‘A Study in Scoundrels’ by Christy Carlyle is book Two in the “Romancing the Rules” series. This is the story of Sophia Ruthven and Jasper Grey. I have read the previous book but fell this can easily be a standalone book. Sophia writes detective stories so she is always looking around for information or help with her stories. But she comes off very prim and proper but Sophia isn’t really that way. She was a strong character that knew she wanted to be married and not just a writer. Sophia had been writing to a man she ‘met’ via the newspaper. Jasper is the really bad rake who after the lost of his brother seem to step away from his family. Jasper has taken up the acting and parting life style. But when he hears his sister has gone missing he comes forward to try to discretely find her before the town and his father finds out. When confronting a man he thinks his sister might have been duped by he meets up with Sophia who was hiding out in the man’s library. Sophia overhears that his sister is missing. Sophia starts to try and help Jasper find his sister. Jasper finds Sophia breathtaking and knows that she is to prime and proper for him but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her. I am such a big fan of Ms. Carlyle that I was over the moon in getting a chance to read this book. I can’t wait for more in this series and by Ms. Carlyle! “My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.” https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/A2HX0B5ELOPP5Z?ie=UTF8&ref_=sv_ys_3 https://www.facebook.com/RomanceBookReview https://www.facebook.com/groups/1709181636033417/ https://twitter.com/soapsrus68 https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1831318-sissy-s-romance-book-review-for-you http://sissymaereads.blogspot.com/ https://romancebookreviewforyou.wordpress.com/ http://booklikes.com/blog https://www.tumblr.com/blog/romancebookreviewforyoublog https://plus.google.com/+SissyHicks https://www.pinterest.com/u2soapsrus/

Review For: ‘By The Hour’ bt Roni Loren

Review:

By the Hour: A Pleasure Principle Novel (The Pleasure Principle Series) (Volume 2) - Roni Loren

3.5 Stars
‘By The Hour’ bt Roni Loren is book Two in the “Pleasure Principle” series. This is the story of Dr. Elle McCray and Lane Cannon. I have not yet read the previous book so for me this was a standalone book.
Elle is now a divorced women trying to get over the hurt of being betrayed by her husband and someone else who she was close too. Elle has found herself to be a uptight snobbish person with a chip on her shoulder. Lane is completely different from Elle in that he isn’t taking live so serious. Lane used to be a paid escort and now is working as a Sex Therapist and going to college. He is also younger than Elle by a few years. Elle used to look down on Lane but they slowly got to know one another and agreed to be sex buddies. But that lead to their feelings growing into more than they had planned.
This was a great book for second chances at finding love!

Review For: Serenity by Janet Nissenson

Review:

Serenity - Janet Nissenson

‘Serenity’ by Janet Nissenson is book Five in the “Inevitable” series. This is the story of Matthew Bennett and Sasha Fonseca. I feel this is easily a standalone book if you choose to do so.
Matthew is a self proclaimed ‘nerd’ ‘Geek’ who is married to a 41 year old wife who through plastic surgery and his money looks younger than her age. She is in to younger men which finally becomes to much for Matthew. Matthew decided to go forward with a divorce. Matthew happens to meet Sasha at a Wedding about a month before he goes forward with a divorce. Meeting her, shows him really what he has been missing. Sasha is total different from him. Sasha is a yoga teacher and a hippie type personality. Where Matthew is a rich businesses man..up-type personality. But the attraction was immediately. But nothing happened and they didn’t see each other until Matthew started fighting to get a divorce. Which with two kids does add to the mix. Sash is a loving caring person who for the first time Matthew feels someones wants to actually care for him and not what he has …or does.
I have loved the books that I have read so far in this series! This one did not let me down…loved it.

Review For: Murphy’s Law by Lori Foster

Review:

Murphy's Law - Lori Foster

‘Murphy’s Law’ by Lori Foster is book Two in the “Law” series. This is the story of Ashley Miles and Quinton Murphy. I haven’t read the previous book so for me this was a standalone book. This book didn’t cover the meeting of Ashley and Quinton…so I assume that was in the previous book. Also know that this book was previously released around 2006. This new version does have a new cover on it too.
This was a sweet romance with a determine man (Quinton) who seemed to know what he wants. A women who thought she knew what she wants but Quinton is slowly changing that. This does have some drama with someone who is after Ashley…but Quinton is trying to keep her safe.
